Establishing Parentage

Preparing to have a child through third-party reproduction or adoption is a joyous occasion, but it can also be full of questions and worry. For intended and adoptive parents, one of the most urgent questions is: How will I become the legal parent of my child?

Bouneff, Chally & Koh helps parents in all kinds of situations establish legal parentage of their children. We work with single parents and couples, LGBT and straight parents, and people having children through surrogacy or adoption. We help you determine the best time and method for establishing parentage based on your particular circumstances, including pre-birth paternity proceedings, pre- or bost-birth parentage proceedings based on declaratory judgment, adoption, or some combination of methods. Whatever the legal path, we guide you through the process from start to finish.

We know that for you there is no question your child is yours – our work helps to ensure there are no legal questions either.
